Much ado about life

Ahh, life. Isn’t it sweet?

Right now I am approaching the end of my first year in college. I can’t believe this year went by so quickly. This year was my first year living away from from home. On of the big things I’m excited for is summer. I love that season. I’m looking forward to swimming and guitar camp like last year. I’m also looking forward to resting for a good couple of months. Summer is also a time to prepare for my sophomore year of school.

College has been very good for me. I met several people, and took several classes. Right now I am taking accounting, literature, astronomy, law, and math. I’m planning to become an accountant and work for a large accounting firm in the near future. I want to be extremely successful in life.

Also I’m planning to write about certain bands, so I might be starting a band blog if all goes well. This summer will be a very fun summer. I can’t wait for the future and what it holds. Everyday when I wake up I look forward to new events. 

Now back to the music blog. In the near future I will be using this site to write about bands and artists I really like (besides Green Day). I will also be doing some art stuff over the summer that I will post on an art site.

Green Day’s trilogy madness

It’s official; Green Day is releasing not one, but three albums. Those albums names’ are UNO, DOS, and TRE. 

In April, I found out about this exciting news. Green Day is my all time favorite band, and I was waiting for an album after the folded 21st Century Breakdown. They started recording in February, with the announcement about the trilogy in April. The group mixed the albums in June. The first single was released in July. The albums will be release in September, November, and January respectively. 

The fandom was really excited, including me. I first heard “Oh love” and “Let yourself go” on GDA. Right now I’m waiting for the albums to come out. I’m saving a lot of money for the trilogy. But that’s not all.

I’m super excited for the upcoming tour. I don’t know when they will be tour my area, but it will be awesome. Anyway that’s about it. I declare a trilogy. It’s trilogy time.

Why memorial day is important

Tomorrow will be an important day for America. That day is Memorial Day.

Every year people sometimes take it for granted, but we shouldn’t. When we think of Memorial Day, we think of the start of Summer. But in reality it’s a holiday of remembrance. We remember the soldiers who died in battle.

This holiday is similar to Veterans Day, only more serious. Every year people honor the holiday by attending parades. Bands play patriotic songs and soldiers march in the parade as well. Speeches are made as well.

Anyway this holiday is very important. It’s not just the start of Summer, it’s also a day of remembrance, and honor. Keep them in mind tomorrow when we celebrate.  

Thoughts of today

Everyday I think of the most craziest things. Will I get a good job, get friends, or succeed? That’s why I’m starting this and calling it thoughts of today.

Today my thoughts are about the end of high school. I can’t believe I’m graduating in one month. I’m going to miss high school and all of my friends. Stuff I won’t miss will be the teachers. I wonder what college will be like.

Anyway, I’m really glad the four years are almost over, and that I can build a new bridge in my life. I hope I’ll make friends in college. I don’t know what the future holds for me, but I do hope it’s great. I want a successful college life.

As Billie Joe Armstrong said, “Time passes like lightning, before you know it you’re struck down. 

That’s exactly what happened to me. I’m not the same girl I was back in 2000. I’ve changed a lot. But not everything changed. Let me explain.

When I was young, I was into girly stuff, now I’m more hardcore and tomboyish. I changed a lot in middle school. I stopped being girly, and I got into more darker things. It took effect my high school years. I’m beginning to understand myself  and where I stand in life.

Yes, we can’t be the same forever. We have to change. It’s very hard to change in life, but it’s worthwhile and fun.

Sorry it’s been long

I was just surfing online, and I found this. I haven’t been on this in a long time. But now I’m back. I have a lot to share with everyone. I hope no one missed me during my absence. Anyway I’ve joined several other sites. So I’ve been busy.

Right now I’m listening to music on last.fm, posting on tumblr, and doing other fun stuff.

I really missed this site. It’s good to be back.

Green Day sites- Just in case you don’t know GD is my favorite band, so I visit their sites. My two favorite are GDA and GSB.

GDA was the first fansite I found of them. The picture vault is amazing, and the forum is cool. GSB is another site I found. This site contains a message board where I chat with people and blogs where I can express myself

facebook- This site is really cool. I can chat with friends, find out about bands I like, and play games. My favorite is Diamond Dash.

tumblr- This site is really cool. I go their to post or videos of stuff I like.

twitter- This site allows me to post what I am thinking of.

myspace- I go on this site to listen to music. I’m friend with a lot of bands on this site.

formspring- Here I answer questions people ask me.

last.fm- I listen to my favorite bands on here.
